So today is Christmas Eve, and after receiving a Christmas card from a long time friend, realized that some people actually do read these! So I've decided to be better at writing.
Let's see, since July not a lot has happened, but there are some changes. I'm still teaching my junior high/high school classes and loving it. I'm also still working at the daycare part time but finally quit yesterday and am hugely relieved. I was so ready to be done with a manipulative boss and poorly run center. So anyway that's me. Kai is doing well, getting a little out of hand as he is now 2 and going through some crazy times. He is kind of potty training, but driving me insane. He loves to go to the bathroom, but the problem is getting him off. He'll go a little, flush, wipe, do the whole thing, then get back on and do it all over again.............for about 20 minutes. I'm ready to pull my hair out and have since stopped putting him in the underwear because I just don't want to deal with 20 minute potty sessions every 20 minutes. So, let's see other than that, he's still talking complete sentences and is even calling me a 'mean' mommy when he doesn't want to do something. Yeah that cracks me up.
And Ammon, well Ammon has made a very big decision. He's going back to school this January and we are so relieved. Well Ammon might not be 'relieved' but he is feeling good about his decision. He'll still be working full time, and has switched to the night shift in order to do his homework and still keep up. We think it'll be a good move. He's almost got his associates degree, so we are hoping it will only take about 2 years.
So that's about it for the last 6 months. Christmas will be exciting this year as we have Ammon's parents coming down from Alaska and we'll be going to Park City together. That'll be really fun. Then after they leave, Kai and I will be going to Michigan for 10 days to see my family. It's been almost a year and a half since they've seen my devil of a child, and we are all excited.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone and we'll see you next year.

Mary, Merry Christmas! We are home for the holidays but only for a short time. We are however moving back to Utah in Feb so we will definitely have to get in touch! I hope you guys are doing well, it sounds like you are. Have a wonderful holiday!
Wow! You've been busy! :) I'm so glad you wrote! I love to hear your updates! It's hard to make those "big" decisions but it is so nice when they're decided! Good luck with it! I hope it goes well!
My sister who lives in Salt Lake is having a baby in April so we'll be going down there in June for the blessing and we will DEFINITELY see you this time! :) Love ya!
