What we're up to

It's 2008 and we are still living in Salt Lake City, well actually West Jordan, and have now lived here 2 years. Ammon is still working at the prison as a guard, and I am a stay at home mom and daycare provider. I watch 4 other children as well as my own right now, so I am pretty busy and tired, but love being home with Kai.

Kai is 17 months old now and a crazy kid. He loves to climb on everything and just plain create havoc. He talks a lot now and understands a lot of what we say. He also can do all kinds of tricks for us like rub his tummy and spin in circles, touch his nose, and touch his toes...on command even, it's adorable but it's kind of like owning a dog and teaching them tricks! Ha ha just kidding. No really he is.

Ammon is in the process of writing a book, and well I am still painting occassionally, between all the diaper changes and snacks. Next year I actually plan on going back to teaching, but we'll see what's in the forecast. I don't think being a daycare provider is my calling for the rest of my life, and Kai actually prefers going to play elsewhere.

I also teach clarinet lessons, and could probably use some myself as I am a bit rusty now.
